Additional information

<28>No other studies have addressed the issues encountered in composing Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML). However, this paper shows an important new approach to designing a set of efficient algorithms for merging semistructured data networks of this type. Previous approaches focus on data integration by algebraic methods alone. This study shows how graph-based approaches may be combined with semantics to significantly alter data composition practices. The method described in this paper inspired heterogeneous approaches to SMBL integration by Schultz et al 2012 (10.1186/1471-2105-13-18). EDBT/ICDE is one of the top three international forums for fully refereed database research papers.
