Additional information

This article presents a highly novel fault estimation and reliable control technique, which can realize on-line monitoring and fault tolerance for a class of complex industrial systems with multiple delays. This is one outcome of the EPSRC project (EP/C015185/1, £126k) in collaboration with industrial partners including Rolls-Royce Ltd, QinetiQ Ltd and Alstom Power UK Ltd. The work led to further EPSRC grant (EP/G059837/1, £300k, September 2009 to November 2011) and a keynote talk at the International Conference on Advanced Mechatronic Systems, September, 2013, China.
