Additional information
This internationally collaborative multidisciplinary paper demonstrates for the first time the optimum properties (hydrophilic, oxygen groups for functionalising) of scalable GO that make it suitable for label free electrochemical sensing. By demonstrating this immunosensos characteristics for detecting antibody-antigen interactions a high sensitivity and high selectivity sensor was demonstrated and this is under investigation by Randox (John Lamont – +44 (0) 28 9442 2413 and led to funding; £2M Cross-Border Point-of-Care Project; £5m CHIC-NI, £150k Leverhulme). This has led to further publications and a recent patent.
