Additional information

Saunders initiated this book, determined the structure of its contents and acted as editor-in-chief, wrote Chapter 1 (which outlined the theory and re-conceptualisation of evaluative practice to which the book’s title refers) and the final chapter which synthesises the case studies. The ‘re-conceptualisation’ refers to the depiction of the range of evaluative practices within higher education in a layered model developed by Saunders. This book encapsulates 15 years’ intellectual engagement and writing on the topic by Saunders, the impact of which is present in international evaluation practice in Europe and in the IOCE (International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation).
