This paper considers the climate change debate, and demonstrates the linkages between climate change and sustainability in the context of healthcare infrastructure. It is the first in a series of three reporting the development of a practical and user-friendly decision support model to facilitate the selection of the ‘best fit’ options that also satisfy the mandatory requirement to demonstrate value for money in capital spending.
