Additional information

This paper combined experimental joint strength and EMG data with subject specific muscle modelling and wavelet analysis to provide a comprehensive state space solution. It originated in an abridged format as a conference presentation at the Biomechanics Interest Group annual meeting in 2007. Based on this presentation the first author was asked to present the work as an invited presentation (titled: Surface EMG Characteristics of dynamic contractions: A combined muscle model and wavelet approach) at the annual British Association of Sport and Exercise Science Conference in 2007 (invited by Dr Polly McGuigan, m.p.mcguigan@bath.ac.uk).
