Additional information

This paper presents an analytical study on the nature and speed of waves within the spinal column. The analytical method is novel and it represents a significant contribution to the development of techniques used to tackle problems in the related field. The study is relevant for the dynamics of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and for the understanding of formation of cysts in the spinal cord, . The paper was instrumental in obtaining the invitation to present in the specialist session on the spinal CSF flow at the World Congress on Biomechanics in Singapore, 2010.
