Additional information

Nearly all of reported WEEE is ‘domestic’ with business-to--business being neglected. Primary data were acquired directly from business users: the paper shows that businesses often do not have sufficient information on the management or disposition of their WEEE. Also, in contrast to domestic WEEE, items are more readily refurbished and put back into use . This work plugs a significant data gap and informs policy-makers and larger EEE industry players as to how such waste should be reported along with assisting in setting realistic targets.
