Additional information

This is a paper commissioned from the principal author’s doctoral work, which includes several novelties in aircraft dynamics modelling. Firstly, a new paradigm is presented whereby structural, rigid-body and aerodynamic equations are integrated monolithically, enabling direct stability analyses and identification of coupled aeroelastic and flight dynamics modes. Secondly, the model captures all kinematics in the same framework, allowing T-tail flutter to be determined without additional corrections. This has led to further research and the commissioning of an additional paper with industrial and academic collaborators.
