Additional information

This international collaborative research with Southeast University China supported by EPSRC UK-China Science Bridges: R&D on (B)4G Wireless Mobile Communications has led to a patent (filed on 08/06/2012, application number: 1210114.3). The tri-polarized antenna can increase the mobile channel capacity up to three times, and its slim design, which size is 80% smaller than the conventional cubic design, allows embedding the antennas into smartphones. Advanced collaborative discussion exchanging contract terms with Huawei Technologies, Early Stage Investment, R&D (C. Ai) for procurement of the patent, and a 5 to 10 years long term collaboration agreement in antenna design for 5G smartphones.
