Additional information

There are challenges in manufacturing composites rapidly. An obvious application is in aircraft manufacture. For instance an Airbus A320 leaves the production line every 17 hours. To produce composite aircraft on this timescale requires new, more rapid manufacturing processes. The technique used in this paper is one such process. An essential requirement of the application of the materials in this and other applications is that they are resistant to hydrothermal aging. This is the first publication to investigate this and to prove that the rapid manufacturing technique is capable of producing materials which are able to withstand these conditions
