"Edwards and his co-editor selected the five essays in this special issue of Visual Culture in Britain from two symposia, both organised by Edwards, the first at the University of York, the second a panel at the North American Victorian Studies Association at Yale University, featuring scholars from the UK and US, from both the academy and the museum sector. Edwards and his co-editor chose the papers, co-conceptualising and co-editing them into this special issue (11.2, July 2010). Of the 173-page issue, Edwards provided a single-authored Introduction (pp. 147-172).
