Additional information

This paper advocates and pioneers online collaborative voltage stability control of power system. It examines power system global voltage control based on real-time communication of information. This is a new concept control of power systems, as conventional global control has relied on real-time communication of signals. The work, for the first time, presents detailed investigation and applicable schemes to realize voltage control under the framework of smart grids. It has led to a new international collaborative project jointly funded by the EPSRC/NSFC (3 years, £700k from EPSRC and 3mCNY from Natural Science Foundation of China).
