Additional information

First ever demonstration of a novel principle to produce a 4-fold improvement in light emission performance for nanocrystal quantum dot arrays, which are used as an emissive layer in emerging hybrid organic/inorganic light-emitting diodes. Modelling work was carried out in tandem with an extensive experimental effort involving 10+ people at Hewlett-Packard Labs (Palo Alto, California, USA), as part of their research and development programme for display and lighting applications. Manager: Jim Brug, HP Labs (jim.brug@hp.com)
