A Theology of Higher Education

This book is the culmination of more than ten years’ work,. It presents a complex thesis, analysing multiple aspects of university life to develop an extensive and comprehensive account. Key aspects include the place of intellectual virtue in universities, their forms of intellectual sociality, and the contributions they make to the common good, and the book develops a large number of proposals in relation to each of these strands. The whole analysis is developed in the light of a wide range of historical and contemporary source materials from multiple periods and contexts.
