Additional information

I was primary interviewer, researcher and author of the introduction for ‘Chapter 3: Preservation/Restoration’ of British Colour Cinema: Practices and Theories. I was co-editor for the entire book and carried out research and interviews for each section. The book consists of original interviews dedicated to colour technologies used in the British Film Industry 1900-1955. The section on film archiving extends to 2011 to consider the restoration of work produced in the early years of cinema. Interviewees include industry personnel, from Laboratory technicians to cinematographers and specialists working in the preservation and restoration of these films.
