<17>This journal paper significantly extends the AAAI 2011 conference paper "Cross-Language Latent Relational Search - Mapping Knowledge across Languages." The research reported in this paper was funded by the Information Technology Promotion Agency of Japan (IPA) and Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA). Our method for performing cross-language relational search has been extended to cover the Chinese language by Chao Liang and Zhao Lu (ICDKE 2012). Two Japanese patents have been submitted covering this work (no: 2010-096551, 2009-275762) and are pending approval.
