Over 250 pages, the output develops a novel theory of causation based on an ontology of real powers or dispositions. The result of at least 6 years work, the output is notable for a number of major innovations including an entirely new vector model for representing causal situations that could replace neuron diagrams, a defence of a specifically dispositional modality in causation and of the direct perceptibility of causes. The output also treats matters outside metaphysics such as explanation, the logic of causal claims, transitivity and nonlinearity and the theory is tested empirically against causation in biology.
