Additional information

Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) schemes offer high data throughput by allowing multiple users’ data streams to be multiplexed onto same frequency and time resources. However, theoretical capacity of MU-MIMO is only achievable using complex non-linear coding and decoding algorithms. Paper proposes linear transmit-filter design to maximise weighted sum capacity in MU-MIMO systems. Numerical results show proposed algorithm outperforms conventional approach. Furthermore, algorithm's performance is comparable to joint transceiver design approach, despite using only simple matched-filter for receiver.
