Ultrasonic array imaging is widely used in industry for non-destructive testing (NDT). Paper describes frequency-domain imaging technique that is significantly faster than traditional delay-and-sum, time-domain techniques. Work was performed in collaboration with Rolls-Royce as part of MoD-funded project (£662k, 2004-11) on nuclear submarine NDT. Paper is in top 2% of most-cited in journal within REF period (Web of Science 4/11/2013).
