Additional information

Paper deals with design and implementation of power electronic converters that can operate with low sporadic power output typical of many energy harvesters. Circuit designs and operational methodologies such as these are required if energy-harvesting solutions are to live up to their early promise. Paper contributes to body of research in this area at University of Bristol and helped co-author Stark obtain EPSRC grant "Staying alive in variable, intermittent, low-power environments (SAVVIE)" (EP/K011979/1, £331k, 2013-6).
