Additional information
<24> Filtering of signals is generally carried out to determine the true underlying signal in the presence of noise and uncertainties. Quantum filters extract the true signal even with high noise to signal ratios. The fundamental problem tackled here is to design a filter which is not only stable, but also able to provide a more accurate representation of the signal. A novel methodology for improving the stability, and numerical efficiency, is developed, and, two real-life case examples are used to illustrate the principles. The technique is currently being tested with a home tele-monitoring system for predicting risk scores.
