This commissioned piece was originally submitted for a deadline for publication in a special edition of the Zeitschrift für deutsches Altertum und deutsche Literatur entitled ‘Neue Studien zur Literatur im Deutschen Orden’ in December 2012. The publication was delayed because the editor was unable to complete the editorial work on the volume by the publication deadline because of conflicting duties. It was anticipated that the volume would then appear in mid- 2013. A final publication date of 2014 has now been set. The Repository version is an English translation from the German original which will be published in 2013.
