Design and Analysis of Tunable Left Handed Zeroth Order Resonator on Ferrite Substrate
This paper describes a tunable zeroth order resonator on a ferrite substrate, demonstrating the tunability and miniaturization properties of ferrite left-handed metamaterials. The zeroth order resonator can only be realized using metamaterial structures and can achieve significantly reduced size, which has been one of the historical banes of ferrite circuits. Several groups worldwide are already using it, e.g. in nonreciprocal phase-shift (DOI:10.1109/TMAG.2009.2024322), in CRLH transmission line design (DOI:10.1080/02726343.2011.568920), and in tunable waveguides (DOI:10.1109/TMAG.2013.2245336). The PhD student Abdalla has been appointed Assistant Professor in MTC University, Egypt.
