Steady state bifurcation of a periodically excited system under delayed feedback controls
Nonlinear systems are considered to be of great importance within control technologies and are used in order to better understand system behaviour. This paper investigates periodically excited systems subject to time delayed feedback controls and nonlinear equations are solved analytically to obtain the steady state responses. The investigation describes a number of analytical solutions that show excellent agreement with numerical results. The paper adds significantly to the understanding of nonlinear systems and performance of control systems. The impact of this paper is in the machine tool control environment and will make a significant contribution to the EPSRC project (EP/I033424/1).
