<15>This paper analyses the various paradigms of computer-based learning and proposes a new approach using mobile mixed reality games. The objective is to exploit the key features of the learner’s environment and utilise this to advantage in the learning process. It gives primary weight to the pedagogical needs and requirements and the framework within which the educational objectives are advanced. Technology is utilised that effectively and efficiently implements these pedagogical goals. Communication, interaction, and location are utilised as an integral part of the learning process in order to harness the learner’s contextual and real-world experiences.
