Additional information

Predicting delamination in composites requires the development of models at the meso-scale, which result in unaffordable numerical models at the structural scale. Upscaling methods are commonly employed in academia and industry, but they rely on restrictive assumptions. This contribution proposes an automatic upscaling via high-performance computing algorithms, which alleviates the need for such assumptions. This work has led to a PhD thesis at ENS Cachan, within the industry-led european project MAAXIMUS. It has been cited by prominent figures in the field of computational fracture mechanics, notably from LU Hannover, TU Delft and UP Milano.
