Hellier leads the team which built and runs the WASP-South transiting-exoplanet survey facility, from which this discovery derives, and played a large role in all aspects of obtaining, processing and analysing the WASP-South data, and the planet-candidate selection and follow-up leading to this planet discovery. Lead-author Anderson was Hellier's PhD student throughout this process, and Hellier played a large role in the interpretation and writing of this paper.
