This was the very first physics analysis publication by the LHCb collaboration. I was the collaboration editor for the paper. I worked with the analysts to understand and finalize the K_s yields and systematic errors. I supervised an Oxford student who worked on a parallel analysis. I made several inputs to the content of the paper and the analysis procedure, such as the systematics of downstream vs long track selection, and dealing with low statistics in the bins lying at the edges of the kinematic acceptance. I presented the paper to the LHCb collaboration for approval.
