Additional information

The concept of Cooperative MIMO allows multiple nodes to share their antennas to emulate antenna arrays and transmit/receive cooperatively. Here, we evaluate its ability to increase the capacity of a wireless ad-hoc co-operative system by presenting an optimal resource allocation strategy which maximises end-to-end capacity. Numerical results show that our new methodology achieves over 20% end-to-end capacity increment in average when compared with an equal resource allocation strategy. These results permit early exploitation of co-operative MIMO techniques in Ad-Hoc networks.
