Additional information

Paper considers control systems, which are usually designed in context of continuous time but then implemented in discrete-time framework. Work looks at stability and control performance of digital implementation as function of clock-frequency. Work provided some of theoretical foundation for practical work on digital controller implementations in hard-disk drives and for later collaborative work with Jaguar Land Rover on integration of digital control systems, leading to grants and international collaborations outlined elsewhere [Herrmann-1]. Paper is identified as research group highlight in REF5.
