Additional information
This paper presents the first systematic study of the adsorption of dioxins on porous carbon under conditions representative of industrial applications. The study identifies that the absorbate absorbent interaction is the key factor controlling adsorption, with the role of surface functional groups significantly less important than previously thought, with the underlying mechanisms for this also explained.
