Additional information

This paper proposes a method for the alignment of non-linearly associated environmental time-series, a challenge that is fundamental to the reliable handling of high temporal resolution datasets. It also proposes a method for the integration of non-continuous and continuous time-series, a common issue when working with data from different logging systems. These methods were applied to aircraft take-off emissions in the Defra report ‘Analysis of Fast-Response NOx Measurements at Heathrow Airport’ (http://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/reports/cat15/0707020933_Heathrow_Fast_Response_NOx_Report_Final_June_07.pdf).
