Additional information

<23>The difficult problem of displaced shoulder fractures can benefit significantly from accurate preoperative assessment. This paper presents a method for planning reconstruction of complex shoulder bone fractures with minimal user interaction. The approach relies on automatic fragment matching to contralateral anatomy. The framework was validated in cadaver experiments and on real patients. The work has been carried out in a collaboration with the University Hospital Balgrist (coauthors) and the developed software is now used in daily practice. Medical Image Analysis is the premiere international journal in the medical imaging research field (ranked 7/463 in CompSci).
