Additional information

The paper contributes to the understanding of multi-beam antenna systems for cellular communications from high altitude platforms. Through collaboration with Czech Technical University in Prague, a new understanding has been achieved in relation to antenna roll-off at the cell edge of a multibeam High Altitude Platform (HAP) architecture. The results of this research (via COST 297) have already been adopted by the HAP wireless community, in particular Tampere University of Technology, Finland and Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, who have incorporated the principle into their system models.
