Additional information

This paper addresses the lack of formal analysis of the mechanisms and parameters within gene regulatory network based artificial developmental systems. The output of an EPSRC funded project (EP/E028381/1), the work has lead to an improved understanding of artificial multicellular development that moves the field from intuition to a formalism that assists in the utilisation of evolutionary computation applied to engineering systems.
