Significance of output:

Whilst occupying 4 ranks within the top 7 in the world for leisure boatbuilding, the UK industry is facing increasing technological pressure from its competition in the US and Italy. Much of the issue surrounds a lack of ‘value added’, and in manufacturing much can be gained by more efficient processes, structure, and the understanding of the impact of production quality to reduce build cost.
