"Wanting to be wanted" : a comparative study of incidence and severity in indirect complaint on the part of French and English language teaching assistants
This journal article, of which Crawshaw was principal author and architect, was derived from data collected as part of the ESRC Project Pragmatics and Intercultural Communication (PIC) http://www.lancs.ac.uk/fass/projects/pic/ . Crawshaw was the PI and initiator of the project. The paper was discussed with Culpeper as co-investigator while Harrison, as research officer, offered technical support in assisting with computerised data searches. Text, graphic information and statistical analysis were entirely the work of the principal author.
