Additional information

This modelling work has focused on the soft tissue mechanics using the poroelastic theory initially proposed in soil mechanics. The poroelastic modelling has been used to model Achilles Tendinopathy. This proposal has led to award of a research grant EPSRC Pathways to Impact Award (PIA): identification of effective injected volume in high-volume image guided injection (HVIGI) to treat Achilles tendinopathy in 2011.
