Podolyak proposed the research, planned the experiment, and coordinated the work of the different experts, which made the experiment possible. The data were analysed by Podolyak’s PhD student (Steer, who is the first author) under his direct supervision. Podolyak led the interpretation of the results by contacting and involving nuclear structure theorists. Podolyak wrote the paper with inputs from shell model calculations performed by H. Grawe and M. Gorska (both GSI, Germany).
