Additional information

This is the first reported implementation of laser Doppler blood flow algorithms in a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and presents the fundamental research behind the technology. We have since licensed this technology to UK company Moor Instruments (Rodney Gush gush@moor.co.uk) who have incorporated the FPGA into their product range. These imaging systems are now being sold throughout the world for the assessment of skin burns.
