Additional information

This group includes a wide range of lost, short, or fragmentary texts but also three substantial works of over 300 lines each (total, 1885 lines). Each text was edited afresh, with new base texts established, and a modernised text with complete annotations provided at a level to match the plays and poems. The research restores these occasional works to their chronological place within Jonson's canon rather than relegating them as ephemera. It makes it possible to see the significance of these work and their interconnections with the rest of Jonson's writings.
