Additional information

<7> This peer-reviewed paper describes a set of simulators and simulation exercises aimed at the students of computer architecture and operating systems across all stages of their studies. The simulations exploit colour-coded visualizations and animations to promote student engagement and deep understanding. It presents an augmented methodology for the evaluation of student learning and engagement based on pre- and post-tests that utilize efficacy and self-evaluation as a novel approach to improve the software. This then helped contribute to the adoption of the system simulator by tutors in several international universities as a teaching and learning resource.
