Additional information

<01>Originality: This paper provides a solid mathematical analysis of the blind matched filter leading to the simplest and most streamlined blind matched filter receiver, achieved so far in the open literature.

Significance: The paper proposes a low-complexity and low-power solution for future wireless communication and receiver systems, transforming the blind matched filter receiver into an all-adaptive one replacing all the cumbersome matrix operations without any loss of performance, with zero overhead to estimate the noise variance.

Rigour: Mathematical analyses fully support and verify all of the findings of this paper, with the results published in a leading, peer-reviewed journal.
