Double-weighted statement

'Exceptional People' is an original 371-page manuscript based on research over a five-year period, from 2006 to 2010. Because of its highly interdisciplinary global and comparative approach, it required the bulk of the author’s research time between these two dates. Goldin was the principal author; the other two authors researched background material in the first and final years of the research respectively (Cameron also wrote a small amount of text under Goldin’s supervision). Each of the five main chapters, 4 through 8, could have been a separate paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
