Significance of output:

High-lift devices are used commonly during aircraft landing or take-off when the noise impact to the environment is strongest. The paper investigates, for the first time (CHOW, Steve Steve.Chow@Airbus.com), the influences of the slat track on a high-lift device on environment noise. Results have been implemented into an aircraft noise prediction model for Airbus to be used for aircraft noise estimation during the design stage.
