Analyzing different variants of immune inspired somatic contiguous hypermutations
<22>One of the first publications, first journal article tackling the 'major theoretical challenge' posed by leading researchers (TCS 403 (2008), p.23) in the context of mutation operators. Subsequent work presents analyses for B-Cell Algorithm (origin of somatic contiguous hypermutations) in combinatorial optimisation (Vertex Cover, Longest Common Subsequence). Integral part of distinguished PhD thesis (TU Dortmund dissertation award; nominated for dissertation award of German Computer Society). Led to Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, postdoctoral fellowship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and tutorials at GECCO'12 (>130 downloads from ACM-DL) and GECCO'13. Significant invited extension of an ICARIS'09 article.
