Additional information

Addresses the issue of web-scale search of near-duplicate and derived/embedded video content. The technology - 'Video Signature' - is a high performance content fingerprint that suits desktop scale to web-scale deployment providing robustness compared to common video editing operations and high temporal localisation accuracy at low false alarm rates. This technology was standardised by ISO/IEC MPEG, after an ISO/MPEG international competition as an amendment to ISO MPEG-7 Standard (ISO/IEC 15938-3/Amd.4). Applications of video signatures include rights/distribution/database management, usage monitoring and metadata association. Productised by NEC (bit.ly/XbsH9c).
