Additional information

First published work that investigates the feasibility and viability of an innovative solar power plant floating in the atmosphere above the clouds to maximize solar energy capture. Particularly suitable for countries with frequent cloud coverage such as the UK, this work is pioneering a new type of facility that could have an extraordinary impact on the market for renewable energy generators. This work has been supported by Industry (Cameron Balloons). So far 2 PhD students have worked on this topic.
