Additional information

The novel signal processing technique described herein enabled the first ever practical Shallow Angle Wave Profiling LIDAR. This LIDAR dramatically reduces the cost of wave sensing for control of wave energy devices in the next generation of wave predictive control technology for wave farms, (TStiven@oceanpower.com MD of OPT UK). It also provides inputs to Quiescent Period Prediction Systems that identify short term calmer periods in large seas (pioneered by Belmont) and is being investigated by NATO for use in the NATO Rescue Submarine Project. (Dr.J.Duncan, Head of Simulation, DESSHIPSMC-SBA@mod.uk).
